Photo Reportage for SU Florence
The intern will photograph special events and activities taking place at SUF during the semester: lectures, field trips, exhibits, student activities, theater workshops, etc. Photos used for SUF publications will be credited with the intern’s name. The student must own his/her own camera (preferably digital) with flash capabilities. S/he must be skilled in taking indoor photos using flash and under natural lighting and be available to do shoots outside of regular class times. For intermediate to advanced photography students only.
Equipment: SRL digital camera.
Language requisites: None.

Fondazione Romualdo Del Bianco
The Fondazione Romualdo Del Bianco is a private foundation whose mission is to promote intercultural dialogue among different countries, with special emphasis on East/West relations, and to promote an awareness of cultural heritages and diversities among young people. The internship is offered for 2 credits (90 hours) only. The internship aims to communicate the meaning of cultural heritage to young people and to promote the concept of travel beyond consumer “tourism.”  Interns will work on the Life Beyond Tourism project (LBT portal and photo blogs) and on promoting events related to this project. The main tasks will be to develop 1) a contact network and 2) a blog and photoblog on the following topics: Cultural Heritage, Cultural Diversity, Tourism & Travel, Inter-Cultural Dialogue. Recommended for Photography, Communications and Marketing majors.

The Florentine (Bi-monthly newspaper)
The Florentine is a bi-weekly English-language newspaper published in Florence. It aims to help English-speaking visitors become better acquainted with the city of Florence and its surrounding communities. It reports on local and national Italian news and publishes an extensive list of current events in and around Florence. The intern writes articles of general interest for English-speaking residents and visitors to Florence.
Language requisites: None.

The Velvet Circle
The Velvet Circle s a lifestyle web TV magazine that produces content on style, art, cuisine, and events. The company has partnered with Pitti Immagine on the production of Pitti Taste and produces monthly videos from fashion festivals, exhibits, runway shows, and restaurant openings. The Velvet Circle is also a boutique event management company that produces events in Florence including the annual Shopping Party for independent boutiques and emerging designers. Interns are sought in the following areas: film/video production, graphic design, fashion journalism, and event management. 
Language requirement: None. Beginner Italian II would be appreciated.
Equipment requirement: Laptop computer. Not required but certainly welcomed: Final Cut Pro or other editing software for film students; Adobe Photoshop or other design software for graphic design students.
